Back home from the hot, arid mountains of the Cevennes and the skies are overflowing with rain. The garden is bursting with life and weeds and when I took this picture out the back door a little while ago the air was full of the smell of herbs crushed by the hailstorm. The corn is standing in the fields ready to harvest if only the rain would let up.
I’m putting together a list of what I’d like to cover for the rest of the summer – any suggestions, dear readers?

If it stops raining, how about taking a picnic to a performance at The Cambridge Shakespeare Festival? Or, joining Allan Brigham on one of his guided walks around Cambridge?
